Legacy Lafayette Comp Plan debut event

N. Harrison Ave. / E. Simpson St. 

Enjoy the ambiance of Old Town Lafayette while you review the various elements that make up the Legacy Lafayette Comprehensive Plan. This event will be held north of E. Simpson St. along N. Harrison Ave., and the first 25 people in attendance will receive a free Old Town Lafayette canvas tote. After perusing through the Comp Plan information, head over to East Simpson Coffee’s weekly Community Hangout Night event to enjoy live music and food trucks. 

The Legacy Lafayette Comprehensive Plan, developed with two years of community input and guidance, is intended to steer the City’s evolution through 2040 in areas such as:

  • Future Land Uses 
  • Ideas to Preserve and Enhance the Community’s Character
  • Economic Development Strategies
  • Housing Strategies
  • Sustainability Strategies
  • Transportation Strategies
  • Implementation Tools and Strategies

For community members unable to attend the Sept. 2 event, information will be available for review after September 6 on the Legacy Lafayette website LegacyLafayette.org. City Council will be presented with the final Comp Plan draft in November.
