Initial Stakeholder Meetings

July 18th & 25th, August 8th & 15th from 6:00-7:30pm at the Lafayette Senior Center, 103 S. Iowa Avenue in Lafayette

A series of meetings with stakeholder groups from around the community will be held in July and August, following the Legacy Lafayette “Launch Party” on June 20th, to discuss special topic areas for the Comprehensive Plan. These meetings are structured to gather specialized input from attendees on key issues facing Lafayette in four special topic areas including Strong Economy, Connected Community, Community Character, and Environmental Stewardship. The stakeholder meetings will be held on four dates in July and August, as outlined below.

Note – Change of Venue: The Connected Community stakeholder meeting was originally scheduled for the Bob Burger Recreation Center but has been moved to The Collective Community Arts Center due to construction on the recreation center.

These meetings will gain input from attendees concerning key issues the Lafayette community is facing, or is likely to face, in the coming years, on these different topics.

Note: The Legacy Lafayette effort had previously scheduled these four Stakeholder Meetings on four dates in June (June 5th, June 6th, June 12th, and June 13th). The project team elected to reschedule all four of these meetings to July and August, following the Launch Party, so that these meetings can be advertised and promoted at the Launch Party on June 20th. An initial Stakeholder Meeting for the Strong Economy group was held on June 5th and an initial Stakeholder Meeting for the Environmental Stewardship group was held on June 6th. Summaries of the discussions at these meetings will be posted on the Legacy Lafayette website under the “Project Documents” header.
